AURORA REPEATERS
Lest we forget with all that is going on repeater-wise in the County,
there are two other repeaters nearby.  Nutrien’s John Johnson, KE4TZN,
is behind the effort for two repeaters on the Nutrien (Aurora) tower off
NC306: a 440 repeater that operates in the DMR mode on the PRN (NC, SC &
VA) network and a 2M FM/C4FM-YSF/Wires-X repeater.

The two repeaters were operational only for a short time before the
tower was hit by lightning. Both are now operational again. The DMR
repeater is one of the 73 PRN network repeaters located in North
Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. (Learn about the PRN at
https://ncprn.net/.) The FM/C4FM-Fusion repeater is also operational
again in both the FM and C4FM (YSF) modes. Wires-X connectivity will be
added this week. It will also be part of the new NC VA Fusion Network
(https://www.ncvafusion.org/home).

Setup details for both repeaters are in the RepeaterBook
(https://www.repeaterbook.com/repeaters/location_search.php?state_id=37&type=city&loc=Aurora).
John welcomes us to use them. You can send your reports and comments to
John at ke4tzn@gmail.com
