FIELD DAY 2019

Another Field Day comes to a close.  As always, it was not only great to participate in something worldwide, but to bring our club together to make it all happen.  What a wonderful opportunity to see so much that is not always available to many of us.  New equipment, new techniques, new methods and types of operation plus the old standards of our hobby still strong as ever to be experienced.

Then there is the opportunity to meet and greet new folks but especially spend time with our fellow members in the off time.  It is also a terrific opportunity to bring family and friends to show them what varied sorts of things we do and maybe spark a new interest.  It’s a win win!   Oh yes then there is the food too.  Least I not forget that. Fabulous!

I certainly hope that everyone had as much fun as I did and truly hope we can make it all happen together again next year.

THE PREPARATION BEGINS

All done and ready. The Shriners site was again perfect for this years Field Day.

GETTING READY FOR ACTION

Missed photo of VP Bruce K4ONC because he was busy making everything great for the rest of us. Thank you MR Bruce

Well Sonny do would you like to talk on the radio?

I know I can remember how this goes. Those two behind me seem to be pretty good at it.

We got it covered. Solar, Battery, Generator and plenty of wires.

Gary NC3Z brought in loads of table offerings.  Bartering activity was fierce.

Did you know we help the public program their Emergency Weather Radios too? You better believe it we do.

The propagation might not have been the best but our custom cooked Bar-B-Que was the finest. It was fantastic.  Everyone raved about it. Thank you crew.
