PAMLICO EMERGENCY/COMMUNICATIONS NET
There were 15 WinLink check-ins and 19 voice check-ins for the Pamlico
Emergency/Communications Net last Wednesday, November 19th. There were 2
check-ins via EchoLink (KO4MHM-Brevard and AG7C-Washington, NJ). Charlie
K04YWM, will call the net again this coming Wednesday.
SOLAR NUMBERS TODAY
NOAA reports that solar activity was low during the 24 hour period
ending yesterday at 4 p.m. local. The Space Weather Prediction Center
expects solar activity to be low with a slight chance for an M-class
flare today, Tuesday and Wednesday.
There are 6 numbered sunspot regions on the Sun facing Earth this
morning. There were 5 last Monday, 7 the Monday before.
Sunday’s noon Solar Flux Index (SFI) observation at Penticton was 120,
last Sunday’s was 132. The index is predicted to measure 125 today, 125
Tuesday and 130 on Wednesday. The more important SFI 90 day trailing
average was 152 yesterday. It was 153 last Sunday.
The geomagnetic field was quiet to active yesterday. The SWPC expects
the field be quiet to unsettled today, reach minor storm levels Tuesday
and Wednesday. The planetary K-index at 7 a.m. this morning was 3.67
indicating quiet conditions.
Look for poor conditions during the day on 80 and 40 Meters, fair at
night; good day and night on 30 and 20; fair day and night on 17 and 15;
fair day, poor at night on 12 and 10. As always, we recommend you go to

DX THIS WEEK–

–UGANDA, 5X. Anders, SM0HPL, is QRV as 5X7W until December 8. Activity
is on 80 to 10 meters with QRP power, and using CW, FT8, and FT4.
–BHUTAN, A5. Abie, AB1F will be QRV as A52AA from Thimphu from November
25 to December 5. Activity will be on 40, 20, 15, and 10 meters using
SSB, with a possibility of 160 and 80 meters.
–EASTER ISLAND, CE0. A group of operators will be QRV as 3G0YR from
November 26 to December 3. Activity will be on all bands and all modes
with four to five stations active. This includes being active modes with
four to five stations active.
–CAMBODIA, XU. A team of Russian Robinson Club and Miller-DX-Club
members will be QRV as XU7RRC from Koh Ta Kiev Island, IOTA AS-133, from
November 25 until December 3.

FOR SALE: FOR SALE: AUDIOTEK AT-PS36 13.8 VDC linear 30-amp power
supply. The power supply has been completely rebuilt by me and is now
electrically the same as the Astron RM-35A, including the Astron
regulator board, but in a smaller package (13”x8”x6”). Measured
performance at 27.5A is 0.05V voltage drop and 4.4mV ripple. Also
includes a fused remote power panel with analog volt and amp meters and
an internal 2KΩ resistor to dissipate stored energy after the supply is
switched off (safety feature). First $130 takes (the RM-35A currently
