A Skywarn Class was held after the Saturday, May 26th, PARS Meeting and was a great success! There were a total of 32 participants, many of whom were PARS members but also several from the community and the New Bern Radio Club. In addition, I know of at least two folks (one a Technician and the other a non-Ham) who submitted membership applications. The feedback I received was extremely positive and many look forward to a follow-up class. The NWS instructor, Erik Heden and his young son Christian, did an outstanding presentation! I want to thank Towndock, The Pamlico News, The County Compass and the Oriental NC Facebook page for getting the word out to the community. They have been and will continue to be great supporters of PARS.
