PARSware NOW AVAILABLE
As Bruce K4ONC announced at our September PARS meeting, arrangements
have been made with “Black Sheep Signs” in Alliance to offer Pamlico
Amateur Radio Society (PARS) tee shirts, sweat shirts and other items as
demand develops. A special web page for our “PARSware” is at

https://stores.inksoft.com/pars_/shop/home

On Friday, Bruce advised that “Black Sheep has added two different
sweatshirts to the store. Both are navy blue, one regular sweat
[hooded-ed] and one 1/4 zip…

If you want your call sign on right front chest [on a tee or sweat
shirt], there is a spot on the order form to put your callsign. Any
questions should be directed to them. They are extremely easy to work
with. The selection is small at this time but can be increased with
demand. No hats at this time.”

NET NEWS
We had ten folks folks for the Monday night Wayne’s World C4FM
round-table on Sep 28th. Besides Wayne KO4OJC, they included KR4LO,
KR4CYB, AC2GR, AI4WL, KR4CYB, K4NLC, KR4ABZ, KM4COD, WM3X and KM4PA who
joined us via Wires-X from Brevard. We talked about the Harvest Moon,
cloud burner antennas, controllers, bees-both keeping and biting, truck
starting problems, Meshtastic and MeshCore, high water in the creeks and
unfortunately, a dead Kenwood. It closed around 8:26pm. For local users
via RF, the repeater’s on 145.390MHz. Remote users can join via the
Wires-X room, it’s “KO4OJC-Room 3” (ID 64163).

On Wednesday, Bruce K4ONC, recorded 15 WinLink PAMLICO COMMUNICATIONS
NET check-ins. Nineteen operators checked to the voice net; KM4PA,
K2TNO, and KC2YHS, a late check-in, via EchoLink. After the formalities,
a what’s happening/low key rag chew ensued. Too much happening to
recount here. Join us again Wednesday. Bill KR4LO will take the reins
during October.

Only Wayne KO4OJC and Jim AI4WL joined Charlie WA4GSI on Thursday,
October 1st for a short DOWNEAST/PAMLICO COUNTY 6M Net. Wayne reported
progress configuring the new equipment for EchoLink to be sited at
Kershaw. Charlie’s antenna challenges continue, the one that was blessed
by Father Rick is working well. [PHOTOS of the Antenna Blessing and more
