NET NEWS
Seven folks folks made it to the Wayne’s World C4FM round-table on Oct
12th. Besides Wayne KO4OJC, they included K1AUG, AC2GR, AI4WL, WB2AII,
and KM4COD. KM4PA joined us via Wires-X from Brevard. Rainfall from the
remains of Hurricane Isacis brought rainfall reports of 1 inch
(Whortonsville) to 5 inches (Brevard). We also talked about hotspots,
Wires-X capable repeaters, and MeshCore. It closed around 8:33pm. For
local users via RF, the repeater’s on 145.390MHz. Remote users can join
via the Wires-X room, it’s now “N4ONC” (ID 27611).

On Wednesday, Bill KR4LO, recorded 21 WinLink PAMLICO COMMUNICATIONS NET
check-ins. Twenty operators checked to the voice net, four of them via
EchoLink (AG7C, KM4PA, KR4LEW, and K2TNO). Bill asked members for their
choice of “radio stations” if they had endless dollars. A surprising
number were happy with what they had. One wants property on high ground
without trees, one wanted a station just like Bill Michne’s. Watch for
that request to switch to a SSB frequency on ten meters after check-in.

STACY NC – CARTERET COUNTY GMRS REPEATER ACTIVATED
Keith Stroud W4WKS in an 10OCT26 email advises that a new GMRS repeater
is now on the air in Stacy at 462.675+5 offset, Encode tone 100.0Hz. He
reports it has “excellent coverage” and to “give it a try”.
